The numbers are in. For the last week, Oct 5 – Oct 11, 2015, Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton in social engagement, measured by average weekly retweets and average weekly favorites on Twitter. While the two share the same number of followers, 4.4 million (not necessarily the same followers), Trump receives 1.31 retweets for every 1 retweet Clinton receives, and Trump receives 1.79 favorites for every 1 favorite Clinton receives. Trump tweets 1.75 times more than Clinton, with 147 tweets in the past week compared to 84 tweets.
It’s not all doom and gloom for Clinton, as she wins for tweet of the week, and it just so happens the tweet pertains to engagement, literally. Yes, her anniversary tweet racked up 6381 retweets and 16261 favorites–you go girl!
